Medical Assistant
Annie Tran, MA
Annie was born in Vietnam and spent most of her life in Washington. She began her healthcare journey right after high school, working as a scribe in a dental office before transitioning to the nephrology field, specializing in hemodialysis. Seeking broader experience, she joined Family Healthcare as a medical assistant, drawn to the diverse range of conditions encountered in primary care. Her dual perspective as both a patient and a healthcare provider revealed the many limitations of traditional healthcare systems. Long wait times, rushed appointments, and limited opportunities for patients to fully express their concerns became clear frustrations.
This led Annie to appreciate the MDVIP model, which allows for more personalized and accessible care. In this system, patients can see their providers the same day or the next, with extended appointment times, and have after-hours access for urgent needs. In her role, Annie takes on a wide range of patient care and administrative duties, including advocating for patients and navigating the complexities of insurance on their behalf. Her passion lies in providing comprehensive, attentive care to each individual. In her spare time, she’s a dog mom to her two pups, finding new recipes to cook and playing Fortnite with her boyfriend.
